TIMBERTIE    
        With the popularity of timber frame construction, the TIMBERTIE allows the facility of installing additional ties by drilling a 3mm diameter hole through the facing brick and screwing the wood screw end into the timber. The TlMBERTlE is a derivative of the highly successful MACTIE, with all the benefits of the Mac expander in the outer brickwork.The expander can be set using a pre-set torque wrench and hexagon setting tool.

      APPLICATION METHOD  
     
DRILL
Drill 13mm diameter hole in brickwork within 100 upwards.		  
      SET WOODSCREW
Fit threaded setting tool (TTM6S)* to a power drilling machine and screw setting tool on to M6 thread on tie end.Drive into timber to embed full length of woodscrew thread. Remove setting tool by reversing drill machine.		  
      SET OUTER
Fit hex setting tool (FTSHS) on to torque wrench and set outer expander by tightening nut until pre-set torque is reached. Seal outer brick with colour matching mortar.

*With SDS drilling machines 1/4" square drive adaptor (SDS I 4D) is needed.
